As in many famous or popular novels and films of out time, the individuals and the groups are considered as the forefront of each story. Utilizing words in this way is easily let me get confused at the beginning when I was reading. This collectivist society is the place where is similar to the Nazi. This society makes lots of restrictions that forbid people to have their individually thoughts. Moreover, people are forbidden to think freely. All of them have to act in unquestioning obedience to the orders of the society. The author of Anthem addresses that â€Å"collectivism refers to the subjugation of the individual to the group†. And it is not necessary to understand what the group is. It could be a certain class, a race or country and so forth. In this context, each people are not considered as an autonomous individual with his or her own life. Instead, they are treated as a component of the group whose sole purpose is to obey and serve this group.
